No, I didn't. He said "lower taxes do not create the work that needs doing" and I explained why he was wrong. Lowering taxes lets people buy more crap. Buying more crap creates more demand. More demand means more jobs.

It wasn't nonsense. I absolutely explained how Obama could make it more tempting for a company to hire a human rather than buy a machine. Reducing the cost of hiring a human. But he won't do that. Hell, he won't even be honest about the economy, why would he start being honest now?

Obama has proposed zero legislation to lower taxes and give tax incentives to corporations for hiring people. I want proof that the GOP voted against this. Give me the name and details of the bill that the GOP has shot down. Just because OweBama says it in a SOTU speech doesn't mean shit. What legislation has congress put forth that was voted on for this?

The article clearly states that the reason it was voted down was because of the liberals refusal to make any republican amendments to the bill. So that doesn't count. Heck that same article states that earlier liberals voted down a republican bill that did the same thing, because liberals said it was too geared toward the "wealthy." So its either BOTH parties are responsible, or NEITHER party is responsible.

Owebama also said Bush's spending was irresponsible so he doubled it. Lets not go off of what OweBama says.

You do realize that the House is responsible for taxes, right? The house refuses to bring these tax breaks to the table. Obama has told them he will sign tax breaks for companies that hire within the US and don't move overseas.

The House refuses to put up any such bill.

You're the one who blamed Obama for not getting these taxes through. Obama fully supports it and would pass it tomorrow. The House won't bring a vote up to the floor.

Also, Obama did NOT double Bush's spending. Federal spending under Obama has increased the slowest since Ike, IIRC.
