I didn't say anything about the the guys guilt or innocence. I have to presume he is innocent until he is proven guilty in a court of law.
The only thing I am worried about here is the behavior of the US authorities. They have to follow the law and that is all there is to that. Lying to the guy about his rights (by omission) is illegal.
If the USSC says otherwise they are clearly a corrupt organization.
Now, were they doing it for a good reason? Yes, but they still have to follow the law.
