The fact is that modern state capitalism is nothing like what the founders of this nation envisioned. If we would have retained their vision the result would be a type of society based on the principles of libertarian socialism, which is really just a progression of the principles of the classical liberalism that our laws are based upon.

No, gov't is not the answer to every societal problem. Nobody has a right to work, a right to food, a right to anything but life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Nowhere does it say you have a right to free food, free health care, free cell phones, happiness, etc. You have no rights beyond those. You can EARN anything you want, but its up to you, not nanny gov't.
