I consider myself a pretty well informed hip-hip head, but I had never heard of Masta Ace. It blows me away. Particularly how massive an influence he clearly is on Eminem (Em seems to have st8 bit this guy's flow), as I said on the previous page, the specific track I cited (the same one you cited, Acknowledge) could easily be mistaken as Em himself by those who aren't listening too close and have never heard of Masta Ace. I still also can't believe that Em, while paying dues to Pac, Big L and others, never mentions Masta Ace. I looked it up, apparently he mentions Ace in some book he wrote, but, honestly, who the f**k is going to read a book Em wrote? Em needs to give way more props to this guy.

Yeah I never liked Eminem very much. He's very technically skilled but he isn't very original. A lot of his earlier work was also a blatant ripoff of vintage Nas. But since he's white and says f**k up shit about murdering his wife and mother he's "different".

Also he sucks as a producer.
