Let's enumerate
Commandments
1. No blasphemy. -- Not enforced by US law, in-fact it's specifically unconstitutional to make this a law.
2. No blasphemy. Not enforced by US law, in-fact it's specifically unconstitutional to make this a law.
3. No blasphemy. Not enforced by US law, in-fact it's specifically unconstitutional to make this a law.
4. Celebrate Sabbath. -- Lots of people do, but it's not illegal to work on the sabbath.
5. Honor your father and your mother. -- Not enforced by law.
6. You shall not murder. -- Hey, here's our first hit. 1 for 6 so far
7. You shall not commit adultery. -- It's not exactly illegal, but some divorce proceedings do take it into account. I'll count it as half a hit.
8. You shall not steal. -- hit
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. -- hit
10. You shall not covet. -- Thoughtcrime. Not enforced.
So places where the 10 commandments intersects with US law
No killing
No stealing
No perjury.
Adultery is bad(only half a hit)
I have a sneaky suspicion that killing, stealing, and perjury would be illegal anyway, and probably were illegal in places that have never heard of the 10 commandments.
so you only have that 1/2(if that) hit from adultery left... Doesn't seem like it's that strong of a correlation
