IRS knowingly targets "tea party" groups

How come suspicion of money laundering isn't turned over to the FBI or the appropriate LEA? The irs is a collection agency, not a police force. Although I know they have more power, they shouldn't. They should have less. Much less. Much of what they do is an inefficient duplication.

this sort of thing can happen completely unspoken of, unreported for fear of greater retribution, and perhaps undetected.

These guys need to be thouroughly punished. A message needs to be conveyed that this is a felony and if convicted, you will do hard time with Bubba.

It's the IRS and as I said before this kind of stuff has been gong on forever, so I haven't really been following it closely..

But IF the TP, or anyone made it public that their intentions were to NOT pay taxes for whatever the reason, then it's to be expected that they were targeted. Actually I wouldn't expect anything else..

Disagreeing with taxes and saying they are not going to pay taxes are not the same thing. But the irs regarding it as the same thing and treating it as the same thing is political persecution.

The IRS attempts to intimidate anyone they deal with. It's their modus operandi.
