I think the most galling aspect of all of this is the 'meh whatever' attitude the British public have, I think I can encapsulate it whilst I was at work, we were watching the reports of it happening, then someone turned the channel over to watch Top Gear.

They certainly do, and was clearly evident in the footage of the attack, shit, one woman literally walks past the guy with the meat cleaver with her shopping on her way home.
We have to face the fact that we Brits have become very apathetic to alot of things in society, which speaks to me of a cultural malaise which needs to be reversed.
