So, what, if we don't want guys making a grab for us we should start walking around in hijabs are something? That's what I'm taking away from this.
I dress pretty conservatively by American Standards. Thing is(I hate sounding vain or arrogant or whatever), I have a "fantastic" ass and a pleasant figure as I've been told by men around me my whole adult life. Just yesterday got told by a customer that his favorite part of eating there is watching me lean over to wash the table next to him or walking into the kitchen to turn in orders. The place only hires women waitresses because that's who the guys want to "see" serve them.
Y'all also know that my regular jobs entail working with a lot of men. The last one I worked at I word jeans and thermal shirts to stay warm and the shirts were tight enough so I didn't get caught on the vehicles I was working on but comfortable enough to give me full range of motion. It was noticed by everyone in the shop that the other guys were coming thru the shop for no reason whatsoever and, for some reason, they seemed to be having their conversations next to the vehicles I was working on. Shit got uncomfortable since I was outnumbered 170 to 1. So, I asked my boss to cut an hour FROM MY TIME AND PAY and have me come in later so I could avoid dealing with the highest number of them. I was also chided for being mean because I let them all know that my 24 inch pry bar would fit nicely up the ass of anyone who even considered making a grab for my ass. The boss got pissed at me once because I refused to change the clearance lights on a truck before 6pm because the sprawl across the hood of the truck position it put me in wasn't gonna happen til after the rest of the crews were gone.
At the mine I used to work at, I wore way oversized shirts that went past my ass and no makeup. Still got hit on. Gained weight. Still got hit on. Was fairly stand offish and threatening. Still got hit on. Hell, part of my "problem" with losing weight was because I DIDN"T WANT some of the attention I got. I mean, it's nice to be considered attractive, but it still gets uncomfortable.
Women are fickle? Bullshit!!! Men are fickle too. You want us to dress in a manner that gives you a nice little look see, then get pissy cause we don't think that means you should put your hands all over us. If we don't dress all whory, you call us prudes. I wear my hair up, I'm being a library lady, uptight bitch. I wear my hair down, I'm just looking for attention and "asking for it". I have/paint my nails and I'm drawing attention. I don't have/paint my nails, then I'm a slob who doesn't take care of herself.
WHY DON'T YOU MEN PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES AND DECIDE WHAT THE f**k YOU WANT!!! Get back to me later on that. I won't be holding my breath while you decide.
