Thing here is that Adam Levine is an American, and as such it seems more acceptable for him to shit on America. If a dog lives in the yard, he's allowed to shit there. The neighbor dogs...not so much.

Pretty unreasonable level of hate, but predictable. If he gets dragged through the shit he shat, he shouldn't be surprised.

I posted it because this is now SOP in politics, the offense taken, the fauxrage, and now it's creeping into civilian life more and more.

The other thing at work here that you see in politics all the time is people whipping out the... troops. The troops. Our fighting men and women. Out they come. How DARE you disrespect them, traitor!

Um, if I'm not mistaken didn't we have this argument back when Iraq started, and note that they're dying SO we can say whatever we want here?

Of course the same jackasses invoking the troops are the ones who have no problem with the fact that we've shipped them off to die needlessly in Iraq and Afghanistan (still there!) and for what? If people cared so much about the troops they'd be telling Obama to bring them home NOW.

That, and the fact that this got turned... political. There was absolutely nothing political in his comment but it sure doesn't take much these days, does it, to make something political?
