@ the Dole thing. I'm beginning to think that this is part of their plan. Get a bunch of "former" GOPers to stand up and say the party is broken. Then, "fix" it (which will really be just a repackaging of the same-ole same-ole) and declare that it's the New GOP. But, it's still the Grand Old Party.

@ the climate change thing. Standing up and saying that we're killing the earth is going to motivate roughly 0.01% of the population. OK, perhaps 1%. Or 5%. But, not enough to do anything about it. Unless you make environmental care fit into the "me, now" mentality, you may as well be s4!tting upstream.

For instance, even the best electric cars are only "as good" as gas-powered cars, but they cost 3x as much. And, the median electric cars are simply sub par (and cost 2x as much). Make them better, and even a gearhead like me will buy one.

But, like most people, I'm not about to give up going 0-80 in under 5 seconds just to drive an electric car.

Climategate, as you so fashionably put it, was a bunch of right-wingers trying to cast doubt on scientific findings because they didn't support right-wing lies. If memory serves, the right's tactic was to claim global warming was a hoax on the basis that a scientist used the word "trick" in an email. There was no proof the right's claims had, or have in your case, any merit. There's not even any evidence. Just a claim. I'm sure you believe there is merit to be had, but that's because you're a right-winger and believe what you're told to believe regardless of facts and evidence.

Your Pajamas Media link (who turns to right-wing blogs for the latest in scientific findings anyway?) doesn't even support your claim. Oh noes! Scientists are using the best data they can get! Liberal agenda! Liberal agenda! Also, I know of no actual scientists who claim NASA's work is not respected. Just right-wingers such as yourself, right-wingers who are just desperate to embarrass themselves in their efforts to convince themselves and one another that what they've been instructed to believe is true. Right wing fail.

Ha ha. Using articles published by The New American (awesome how it put the word "science" in quotes of sarcasm. Truly fine science writing there. I can see why you treat it as gospel. I, on the other hand, prefer actual scientific journalism.

Why do you expect us to treat right-wing propaganda as if it had credibility? We already know what the ignorant American right thinks (if the word can be applied to the American right) about this matter, what I'm interested in learning is whether or not their claims are supported by the facts*. Why you think repeating the claims lends them credibility eludes me.
